Play Therapy Network was created by founder, Madi Wend.  While thinking one day during the Pandemic of 2020. I began to explore the idea of an amazing place that professionals could network and connect. A way that advertising for mental health would cost ZERO DOLLARS for professionals in the helping field, to get help to those in need by advertising in a community. A safe, happy, caring community that is making a difference. The Pandemic 2020 hit not just the medical field but the mental health field hard. Referrals were flooding in and my colleagues were swamped. There are no quick look up site to get names fast for referrals, but what if there was a place like this. What if there was a community for networking, resources, training, and other information. What if there was a way to showcase amazing new books, new research, new connections? What if it was all free? The cost of advertising sites was unreal, and to be honest my word of mouth networking was thriving more.  I began to think about the expensive costs of advertising and frustration of nothing seems to be easy. With the Pandemic of 2020 in full swing, people posting on social media in panic, chaos everywhere, my private practice through the roof of ANXIETY, STRESS, DEPRESSION, RELATIONSHIP CONFLICTS!! I was finding myself  doing more than just therapy, I was connecting colleagues to each other. I was helping friends, and getting referrals to others. I was also finding myself making new connections like I had never before, and suddenly a light bulb went off. 

What if there was a site that professionals helping others, therapists, massage therapists, Dr's, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, billing companies for therapists, creative artists that construct products, unlimited resources, was all at one place with just a click. Sure there are ad sites where you pay a monthly fee, there are places that bring you referrals, but what if there was a sort of "word of mouth" website where therapists and other professionals could list their practice FREE! Wow...what an amazing concept! Where other therapists and professionals could scroll through a list to contact whoever they needed for whatever they needed. 

Time moved on and the Pandemic turned into the Pandemic of 2021, I began to think more and more about this concept of FREE advertising and what would that look like. Play Therapy Network began to become more than just a concept but a plan. What if there was continuing education offered for therapists, what if there was other fun programs and classes offered to anyone who was a seeker in wellness and owned a business? Play Therapy Network is the Playground for grownups!  Everything we ever learned in life, we learned on the playground. Play Therapy Network is a playground, offering professionals, and others that all make a difference in our communities; as well as those that are helping to make a difference in an indirect way. From networking a FREE Business Listing, to opportunities for continuing education for therapists, MERCH SHOP, free  blog and resource information links available. We are the playground of making a difference for children and families. Therapists need connections of referrals, as well as billing companies, tee shirt vendors, print vendors, authors, artists, products, education, training, and resources.  Welcome to the Play Therapy Network! We are more than just play therapy, we are talented therapists and professionals making a difference everyday, in a variety of ways.
